About Our Organization North Coast Physicians IPA is a physician owned organization. We have served the Tri-City area since 1986 and during this time there have been many changes in health care. Our commitment and goals have stayed the same through all of these changes. We are here to care for the residents or our area and people who come to work in our community. When all of the other groups began to focus their business on the HMO’s we decided to stay with what we knew was important to our patients...the freedom of choice. North Coast Physicians IPA is the only group in North County that specifically cares for the PPO, POS and EPO patients. We have always encouraged choice and maintain that the patients of these plans are much happier with their medical care, than HMO patients, because they are more involved in making their own medical decisions.
